Get crafty at the new Country Homes & Interiors Crochet Club and give to a good cause at the same time.

We are launching our first ever online craft club to teach people how to crochet – and raise money for charity at the same time. The aim is to get as many of you as possible crocheting and donating ‘Granny Squares’. These will then be designed into gorgeous accessories like this throw (shown in the picture below) and auctioned for charity.

It has created two exclusive Granny Square patterns using 100% wool in spring colourways and provided a ‘How to crochet’ guide for us. Just download the really easy to use instructions and start crocheting.

We’d love you to share your crochet moments with us so head to our Facebook page to show and tell us how you’re getting on. You’ll also be able to keep up to date on the latest news from the Crochet Club and how you can attend our free crochet workshop at Wool House in London on 15th March.

    Brighton craft show

    by  • 09/02/2011 • Country craft, Country moment • 0 Comments

Attention stitchers and crafters in the south of England – don’t miss the Creative Stitches and Hobbycrafts show at the Brighton centre this weekend. As well as plenty of opportunities to add to your stash with show-only bargains from craft suppliers, there are workshops, demonstrations and exhibitions, including Alison Murray’s spectacular-sounding ‘Above and Below the Waves’, a knitted extravaganza with a sea theme – with knitted fish, mermaids, fisherman and an ‘undersea tunnel’ – all created to raise money for the RNLI.

And if you’re nowhere near Brighton, the show is bound for Glasgow, Liverpool, Exeter and Cardiff later in the year.
