We’ve found a beautiful screen-printing design label called Silk & Burg, run by 32-year-old Marie Pedersen who grew up in Luxembourg. After spending a year in Berlin working in the design industry, she set up her own business designing and hand-printing wonderful products in her London studio.

Marie uses a traditional method which gives her products a stylish touch and she draws inspiration from her heritage. She loves the process of preparing colours for printing. Local craftsmen and suppliers are used where possible and only water based inks and dyes make up the final product.

Silk & Burg products add a splash of colour and personality to your country home; products include colourful patterned cushion covers, amazing framed prints and – our favourite – this quirky Victoria Sponge recipe tea towel.
