While the rest of the nation is settling into winter we’re enjoying a little light relief as we get stuck into our spring/summer ’11 issues. One of my favourite collections seen so far is Crochet Cool from Marks and Spencer where they’ve taken this classic technique and given it a fresh, modern makeover. Statement crochet rugs, large scale prints and crochet corsage detailing on cushions and throws all come in wonderfully vibrant colours.

I never quite know what to think when a High Street shop tries to do a Home-made Crafty look. Isn’t the whole point that it IS home-made?

But I have to say, it looks as thought they’ve done it pretty well. I hope it inspires people to have a go themselves!!

It must be so strange for you looking at Spring trends when it’s coming up to Christmas!

I must say that M&S has surpassed itself with this ‘Fashion Vintage’ look for Spring/Summer 2011 – it’s been one of my favourites from all the shows I’ve been to in the last few weeks.

All of that wonderful colour is really uplifting. I hope that’s another trend for Spring. I can’t cope with neutrals!

Lovely vibrant colours 🙂 and being busy with Valentine orders, I can understand the sense of being out of sync with everyone else!
