There is something so country about a dresser.

The shelves are the perfect place to display favourite china, keepsakes and knick-knacks, and the cupboards and drawers underneath can be used for everyday cutlery and crockery or for hiding away all the junk you don’t want anyone to see!

I love the clean lines and cosy oak colouring of this one from Warren Cabinets. A family business based near Ledbury in Herefordshire, it specialises in hand built and customised freestanding furniture.

That is gorgeous. Although I have a wonderfully large farmhouse kitchen with the obligatory Aga and huge pine table I am sadly missing a dresser like the one shown to display all my lovely bits and pieces.

I should imagine the best thing is being able to see all your crockery out on shelves, it would make you want to use the nice things all the more.

      I just love my dresser!

It’s a handmade pine dresser but I painted it in a lovely soft cream & it stands in the dining room & looks so lovely, I really do love it!
